Basketball Pick 'Em Rules
These are the rules as they exist for Phase One of the Basketball Pick 'Em game.
I am still working on the functionality of the game and web site so these rules and restrictions will probably change over time, but these are the rules for the intial testing.
All picks must be made at least 20 minutes before the start time of the first game of the day. To make your selections for the day, click on the Picks link across the navigation bar. Click the radio button next to the team you think will win and then click submit. If it is less than 20 minutes before the start of the game when you try to access the picks or submit your picks, your picks for the day will not be recorded.
At this time, picks for the current day are the only picks that can be made and no picks can be made after the first game has started. I am working on expanding the programming so that late comers will still be able to pick the games that haven't yet started. I am also working on expanding the functionality so that other (future) days games can be picked.
The Results page is not yet functional but without any picks I am unable to fully test results the way I want. Hopefully when the results are completed you'll be able to see how you do on a daily and weekly basis and how you compare to others for the season.
At this time the only prize is 'pride' as I don't have any resources for prizes at the moment, or a discussion forum so that one can talk smack against those they are defeating. I hope to implement those, and other functionalities, over time.
